If you read my qualifications, you've got a pretty good idea about the logistics of my education. But if you're wondering why I became a health coach, keep reading.

In 2013 I had been watching videos online and reading about home births, water births, and everything related to doula work. I was fascinated.

I ended up on a website that was all about natural living, and while I didn't realize it at the time, it was heavily promoting veganism. All I knew was that a LOT of people were singing the praises of a plant based diet healing their bodies, curing them of life-controlling health issues, and giving them a new outlook on life.

I'd been dealing with chronic fatigue for years, and depression for my entire life. I didn't even see a way out of my bedroom most days, because I couldn't find any passion or energy for life. But I decided that if it helped them, it had to help me.

So I ordered a book called The Kind Diet, by Alicia Silverstone, and quickly decided this was the lifestyle for me. In learning about food, REAL food, for the first time in my life, I felt so much more passion for what I was putting into my body. I began making the connection that eating fruits and vegetables gave me physical energy as well as mental clarity, and I started to have hope that my life could actually change.

Someone on that website had mentioned her nutrition school, and I became obsessed with learning everything I could about the career 'health coach'... It wasn't easy, because Health Coaches are still kind of new in much of the country, but I suddenly knew that this was my new goal. It took me an entire year to finally enroll, and I graduated a year after that. But the whole time up until then I was studying, giving free advice, reading books, and even taking on a client. I attended university beginning just a few months after I discovered the nutrition school so I wasn't wasting any time.

And now, after all this time, I'm ready for you. I've finally found a way to take all of my greatest passions and merge them into one career, so that I can help mamas and their babies to be their happiest, healthiest selves.

I hope your journey of health and wellness is as exciting as life is meant to be!

Thank you for reading,

& be well,
